Incident at Edmonton, AB

Summary

1997-07-22: As ABL 944 was taking off from Fort McMurray for Edmonton International Airport, the a/c blew the left outer main tire. The crew advised ATC at Edmonton, who arranged for CFR to be on standby. The a/c landed on Runway 20 at 0011Z, and as the a/c was taxiing in to the apron, the inner tire on the left side also deflated. The outer tire was blown where the tread meets the sidewall.
