Incident at La Ronge, SK

Summary

1997-07-15: N888BL was inbound to La Ronge from Kelley Lake with 2 people on board, and upon landing on Runway 28, the right main wheel on the float collapsed. The runway was closed until the a/c could be removed from the runway. Damage to the a/c was limited to a scrape on the float skag. The pilot later reported to the La Ronge FSS that an electrical failure had necessitated his lowering the gear by hand pumping, and he had a cockpit indicator that showed the gear to be down, however on landing, the wheel still collapsed. The pilot had the electrical problem and the wheel fixed and departed the same day.
