Incident at S of Watson Lake, YT

Summary

1997-07-11: During a flight from Dawson Creek to Watson Lake, the engine of the a/c quit and the pilot carried out a forced landing on a sand bar in the Dease River. There were no injuries to the pilot, who was the only occupant, and the a/c was not damaged. The pilot was picked up by helicopter and returned to his a/c later to repair a suspected fuel pump problem. The a/c apparently was repaired and the pilot flew the a/c to his destination.
