Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-07-09: FAB 240 initiated a go-around from over the threshold of Runway 34 as another a/c was taking off from Runway 34 some 6300 feet down the runway. FAB 240 was then given a different heading and came back around to land on Runway 34 at 1333Z. The Tower supervisor later spoke to the pilot of FAB 240 who said he thought he was too close to the departing a/c.
