Incident at Vicinity of Lumsden, SK


1997-07-07: TSC 363 was enroute from Calgary to Toronto at FL 330 when the crew advised ATC that it had a red alert on the TCAS and would be starting a descent. The controller stated that there were no other a/c in the area. The pilot of TSC 363 then indicated that his equipment showed the traffic had disappeared off the TCAS and he would climb back to his assigned altitude from FL 240. Radar showed the closest a/c to TSC 363 to be 50 miles SW at FL 250.
