Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-07-03: CDR 1305 was on approach to Runway 16 when the crew received an unsafe gear indication. The crew overshot the runway, cancelled IFR and circled away from the airport to try and solve the problem. CDR 1305 returned to the airport, requested Runway 10, as well as CFR to be on standby. The a/c landed safely. UPDATE The pilot lowered the gear using the manual extension system. Maintenance reports that the problem was related to a broken wire.
