Incident at Glacier Lake, NWT

Summary

1997-06-24: C-FZKW landed at Glacier Lake to refuel from a company fuel cache, however the pilot discovered that there was no fuel available for him. Having insufficient fuel to depart, the pilot attempted to contact overflying a/c for 12 hours without success, so he activated his ELT. A Canadian Forces C130 Hercules was dispatched to the area, located the a/c, and spoke to the pilot on the radio. Later, the pilot was brought some fuel and the a/c was able to depart from the lake.
