Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

1997-06-23: CDR 1348 was taxiing on Taxiway C as C-GTJS, a Cessna 172 was in the flare on Runway 25. Ground issued an instruction to CDR 1348 to hold short of Runway 25, however CDR 1348 was seen crossing Runway 25 at Taxiway C. When questioned, the pilot of CDR 1348 said he was under the impression he was cleared across the runway. The audio tapes were reviewed and confirmed the instruction to hold short and the acknowledgement from CDR 1348 to comply. There was a separatation of about 3000 feet between the a/c at the time of the incident.
