Accident at Vicinity of Roblin, MB


1997-06-20: C-FJBG experienced an in-flight engine failure about 1 mile south of the Roblin airport. The pilot attempted to make a forced landing in a field, however the a/c struck a fence which tore off the undercarriage and the a/c slid along the ground and came to a stop. The pilot was able to exit the a/c and contact his company via his cell phone. While he was on the phone, the a/c caught fire and was completely destroyed. The TSB is investigating.
