Incident at 350 NE of Winnipeg, MB

Summary

1997-06-20: RRR 9628 and RRR 9627 were enroute from Goose Bay to Edmonton and 350 miles NE of Winnipeg when RRR 9628 declared an emergency because of a hydraulic leak. The two a/c diverted to Winnipeg and landed safely at 1734Z. The pilot of RRR 9628 advised on landing that he could not steer the a/c and would require a tow. Several other a/c were inconvenienced.
