Incident at La Ronge, SK

1997-06-19: The a/c was being prepared for a trip to Sandy Bay with a pilot and 3 passengers. After loading the baggage and boarding the passengers, the pilot started the engines to taxi to the active runway. The pilot thought that he had moved the baggage cart away from the a/c, however when he started to taxi, there was a loud bang and the nose of the a/c jumped slightly as the a/c struck the cart. The pilot shut down the a/c and evacuated the passengers. Examination of the a/c showed that the right propellor had struck the cart and at least one of the blades had departed the hub. People in the adjacent parking lot heard one of the blades strike the ground near them, however no one was injured.
