Incident at St. Paul, AB

Summary

1997-06-17: Upon returning to St. Paul after a VFR flight, the pilot put the a/c away in the hangar and forgot to close his flight plan. A search ensued involving the Lloydminster, Edmonton and Red Deer FSS's as well as several RCMP detachments. The search continued for over 5 hours until the pilot called at 0714Z saying he had forgotten to close his flight plan and apologizing. This is the third time in two months that this pilot has failed to close his flight plan, the other times being on May 9 and 27 of this year.
