Accident at 6 Miles W of Acme, AB


1997-06-12: The Piper Brave was spraying a wheat crop which was about 3 inches high. During a spray run, and while the pilot was concentrating on his GPS marking system, the a/c contacted the ground and was destroyed by the impact and subsequent fire. The pilot was wearing a helmet and shoulder harness and was not injured. The a/c hopper contained about 150 gallons of "Achieve" herbicide at the time.
