Incident at High Level, AB

Summary

1997-05-21: C-FWTA was performing left-hand circuits on Runway 13 when the pilot declared an emergency just SE of the airport due to a loss in engine power. He stated his intention to make a forced landing in a field, but the a/c regained enough power for him to make a 180 degree turn and land on Runway 31 without further incident. Cause of the power loss was a failed manifold.
