Incident at Calgary, AB

Summary

1997-05-09: The Air BC flight was in descent when the number 3 engine low oil pressure light illuminated, accompanied by a low oil pressure gauge indication. The crew shut down the engine and landed without further incident. Maintenance repaired a suspected fault in an electrical cannon plug, however on the next flight, the crew again experienced low oil pressure indications. The engine was removed for an extensive examination of the electrical harness and oil pressure indicating system. The regional office is awaiting the maintenance report.
