Incident at Prince Albert, SK

Summary

1997-05-07: The pilot did a precautionary shutdown of the left engine. ERS was called and the a/c landed safely. UPDATE The fire detection loop on the left engine malfunctioned, making the fire indicator light in the cockpit illuminate. There was no fire and the loop assembly is being replaced. A similar problem occurred last year on another company a/c.
