Incident at Cambridge Bay, NWT


1997-04-21: The a/c departed Cambridge Bay at 1439Z and the pilot reported an indication of a mechanical problem with No. 2 engine. The engine was shut down as a precaution and the a/c returned to Cambridge Bay, landing safely at 1445Z. The pilot did not request any assistance. UPDATE Maintenance advised that the high pressure fuel pump on No. 2 engine failed. The pump was changed and the a/c was returned to service.
