Incident at Saskatoon, SK

1997-04-18: C-GWNJ was landing on Runway 15 and landed OK, but his engine stalled after landing. Pilot was unable to start the engine and the a/c was therefore disabled on the Runway. All other airport traffic was re-routed to Runway 09. Other light a/c wanting to use Runway 15 could not accept Runway 09 due to a strong crosswind component and returned to the hangar until Runway 15 was cleared. UPDATE C-GWNJ was on final approach, and had not landed, when it lost power in it's engine as the pilot reduced throttle. The pilot was able to dead stick the a/c safely on Runway 15 and could not restart the engine. The a/c was towed to the apron and other traffic was re-routed to Runway 09 while C-GWNJ was being removed from Runway 15. The pilot reported later that the carburetor float was found stuck. The a/c was on it's first flight after winter storage.
