Incident at Pond Inlet, NWT

Summary

1997-03-07: The aircraft was in descent for Pond Inlet when the oil pressure on the number one engine lowered. The engine was shut down for precautionary measures and the aircraft landed without further incident. It was determined that there was a leak in the prop seal, probably caused by the cold weather. The seal was changed and the aircraft was returned to service.
