Incident at Calgary, Alberta

Summary

1997-03-04: The Convair was taxiing from the runway after landing at Calgary, when the crew noticed a vibration which ceased before they could stop the aircraft to investigate. They continued to taxi to the ramp when a passenger advised a Flight Attendant that No. 3 wheel had departed the aircraft. The passengers were deplaned at the gate, and the aircraft towed to the hangar. The wheel will be examined to determine the mode of failure.
