Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)

Summary

1997-02-20: The aircraft was positioned for take-off on runway 02 at Edmonton when the radios failed. All attempts to contact the aircraft yielded no response. Canadian 606, a B737, executed a missed approach while on final for 02 and landed on runway 02. The pilot of C-FAFF departed without clearance and then called departure control. The radios were still not functioning properly. The aircraft returned and landed at Edmonton without further incident.
