Accident at BEISEKER AB (CFV2) (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)

1997-01-20: An Instructor and commercial pilot student were returning from a training flight when they conducted a practice precautionary landing at Beiseker Airport. They touched down approximately 800 feet past the threshold and started drifting right. The instructor applied left rudder and braking, but the aircraft continued to drift right. The aircraft travelled aproximately 800 feet. The left wheel contacted hard packed, one foot deep snow drifts, which pulled the aircraft into the three foot snowbank along the runway edge. The aircraft flipped over and sustained damage to the propeller, horizontal stabilizer and wing struts. There were no injuries. The instructor had been to the airport the previous day.
