Incident at Gander Oceanic

Summary

1997-12-04: BAW2172 B767 reported by 40W and advised that he had received a TCAS resolution advisory just East of 50W with ACA872 and had climbed from FL340 to FL345 and remained there for 2 minutes before returning to FL340. ACA872 advised that he had momentarily disconnected the autopilot to check the trim and this resulted in a quick climb to FL333 but he immediately descended back to FL330. Both aircraft were on track "V". BAW2172 progressed 50W at 0228z, ACA872 progressed 50W at 0228z. Nil TSB.
