Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)

Summary

1997-11-18: GTI120, a B747, was enroute Shannon to Gander. While the aircraft was landing, Gander was advised that tire debris had been found on the runway at Shannon and it was suspected that it came from the GTI120 flight. ERS called out. The aircraft landed Gander without incident. An inspection revealed that one tire on the left main gear had lost it's retread and that there was minor damage to the underside of the aircraft. Nil TSB.
