Incident at Halifax Intl

Summary

1997-10-07: CFTDZ ST75 (Stinson) developed an engine problem enroute Halifax Intl and landed on the Highway west of the airport. Aircraft landed safely and taxied clear of the highway . TSB awaiting information. UPDATE: Carburator icing is suspected. Engine control functions were verified and several engine power runs were carried out. The RCMP closed down the highway and the aircraft departed without further incident.
