1997-07-16: N335MC DA50 enroute Dulles to Edinburgh advised ACC of smell of fuel fumes in cockpit and requested clearance to Gander. Aircraft safely at 0003z. No emergency declared or assistance requested. Update: Maintenace found loose screw in windshield heater panel that had melted plastic housing. TSB. Case closed.
