Incident at Sydney

Summary

1997-06-17: Allouette 19 CF18 on a VFR flight from Greenwood to Sydney on final for runway 07 at Sydney reported an unsafe gear indication. Aircraft requested ERS to be on stand-by and to have the arrester cable up. Sydney FSS was unable to contact personnel in charge of the arrester gear. Allouette 19 then reported gear indication down and locked. The flight made two low passes over the airport and a visual check indicated the gear was down. Alouette 19 landed safely at 2358z.
