Incident at 200 NM East Goose Bay

Summary

1997-05-13: DAL39 (reg N768DL) diverted into Goose Bay due bomb threat. Aircraft landed and taxied to isolation area on Taxiway MIKE. Passengers were deplaned and taken to sterile holding area. RCMP interviewed crew and passengers. RCMP Dog Master/EVD unit brought in from Gander. Baggage and cargo area cleared. When main cabin cleared, passengers will be re-loaded after identifying their baggage. ETD to Atlanta was 02:30 local (May 13/97). Baggage check completed 0252 NT. Results negative. A young offender has been arrested in relation to the bomb threat. The L101 departed Goose Bay 0819z
