Incident at Gander Oceanic

Summary

1997-04-21: TWA883, a Boeing 747 registered N53116 was on a flight from Shannon to Kennedy at FL370. At around 53n/50w at 0625Z the flight advised that they had lost engine #2 and was turning off course and descending to FL300 to attempt a restart. Engine restarted at 0628Z, aircraft leveled at FL350. No traffic or declaration of an emergency. At 0631Z the aircraft requested clearance back to FL 370. The aircraft proceeded to Kennedy and no further assistance was required.
