Incident at 52N/40W (TCAS alert)

Summary

1997-04-01: Both aircraft were operating on track ""B"". ULE849 a Boeing 767 with registration GUKLH was mach .80 at FL 340 estimating 52N/40W at 1741Z. KLM 691 a Boeing 747 with registration PHBUM was mach .86 at FL330 estimating 52N/40W at 1742Z. After passing 40W both aircraft received a resolution advisory. They were in contact with each other and decided that no action was required. ATC was advised after the aircraft passed 50W. Both aircraft were RVSM certified and in RVSM airspace.
