Incident at South of Fredericton VOR (ATS operating irregularity)

Summary

1997-02-21: Flight was from Rochester NY to Charlottetown PEI. Aircraft lost communication with Boston Centre and eventually entered the restricted airspace CYR724. A "Check Fire" was issued to Range Control at Gagetown at 0837Z and later cancelled at 0845Z when communications were re-established with the aircraft. Update: Apparently Boston never did provide the crew with the next frequency and by the time the crew realized this, they were out of range.
