Incident at Halifax NS

Summary

1997-02-10: Shortly after departure the aircraft encountered severe turbulence and a wind velocity increase which increased the aircraft speed 40 knots over the flap extended speed. After arrival at Toronto the aircraft was inspected by the company and Boeing aircraft . The flaps were found to be undamaged and the aircraft was returned to service.
