Accident at Pacific Region

Summary

1996-09-13: The aircraft departed Fort St. James at approx. 1300 local with one pilot, 2 passengers on board, for a destination in the vicinity of Muskwa Creek, B.C. (N573737 W1242394 - 90NM SSE of Fort Nelson, B.C.). The pilot dropped off one passenger at an enroute stop, and continued to Muskwa Creek. RCC received an ELT signal and initiated a search . The aircraft was located and was found to have crashed at its destination on a gravel bar in Muskwa Creek. The passenger sustained fatal injuries, and the pilot was seriously injured. TSB investigators are enroute .
