Incident at Swannell
Summary
1996-09-06: Sept. 03 - a ferry permit was issued for damaged A/C Swannell airstrip to Kamloops. Sept. 05 - discussions with local pilot revealed that the aircraft was landing at Swannell and the pilot realized the gear was not down. The A/C aborted the landing but contacted the runway surface damaging the propellers and belly of the aircraft.. He continued and completed a circuit with a poor performing aircraft and landed with gear down. It would appear that passengers were onboard during this incident.
