Incident at Kamloops

Summary

1996-09-03: ABL697 arrived on a flight from Cranbrook at 0004Z. Approximately 1000 feet from the west end of the Runway the aircraft became disabled as a result of "blowing the hydraulics on both sides". ABL697 was unable to taxi and Runway 08/26 was closed. At 0207Z the Runway was opened after the disabled aircraft was towed off. There was no damage to the aircraft and no injuries to the 3 crew and 23 passengers. Scheduled Air BC and Canadian Regional flights were diverted to other destinations.
