Incident at Mitchel Lake, B.C.
Summary
1996-08-20: The DHC-2 Beaver on floats was landing at Mitchel Lake, with the pilot and 4 passengers on board, when the pilot encountered a wind shift to a tailwind. The aircraft touched down long on the lake and overran onto the shore at about 15 knots. The Floats struck a submerged log at the shoreline and were substantially damaged. There was no injury or other damage.
