Incident at Smithers, British Columbia
Summary
1996-07-02: The aircraft was inbound to Smithers from Prince George on a VFR flight plan. The pilot called Smithers FSS about 25NM east of Smithers and advised of a generator failure and low battery. He lost all navaids and was unsure of his position. The FSS gave the pilot a DF Steer and shortly after radio contact was lost. At 0110Z the aircraft landed safely runway 32. ERS was on standby.
