Incident at Campbell River, British Columbia
Summary
1996-06-15: At 2010Z, C206 joined the circuit for runway 29, and was advised of CDR1261 (DH83) landing ahead of him on runway 29. When FHDQ was observed on a tight left base (CDR1261 was backtracking), FSS asked if the pilot was going to go around again to allow CDR1261 time to clear the runway. The pilot advised negative only require 1000 feet. Only after the FSS specialist suggested a go around in a stronger manner did the C206 initiate a go around.
