Incident at Kamloops
Summary
1996-04-12: At 0127Z, ABL692 departed runway 08, IFR to Cranbrook. Passing over the Kamloops beacon at 5500' ASL, the pilot of the DHC-8 reported passing three hang gliders. FSS visually determined that there were three gliders operating in the vicinity of Mt. Paul (approx 6 SM ENE of airport). Kamloops FSS had not been contacted by the hang gliders.
