Incident at SUDBURY ON (CYSB)
Summary
1997-01-03: The aircraft (operating as ONT317) was on an IFR flight from Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ) to Sudbury Municipal Airport (CYSB). The aircraft was being flown on an approach to runway 22 at Sudbury. The aircraft overshot and the pilot requested a runway inspection. The inspection indicated that the aircraft's right gear touched down 1,300 feet from the threshold of runway 22 and the left gear touched down 1,600 feet from the threshold, 30 feet from the left edge lights of the runway, between the left edge and a windrow on the runway. The aircraft veered to the left, within 20 feet of the left edge runway lights, then veered to the right and crossed the windrow in the process of overshooting. ONT317 then returned to Toronto (LBPIA). Ops. impact -- none.
