Incident at Bowbells, North Dakota, USA
Summary
1996-12-10: The pilot was on a 300 mile cross country flight as part of his training for a commercial pilot licence. He reported having problems with the engine and attempted to land at Bowbells, ND. Before reaching the airport, the engine stopped completely. The pilot force-landed the aircraft 1/4 mile west of the airport. There was approximately 18 inches of snow and on touchdown, the aircraft nosed over. NTSB is investigating. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
