Incident at Ontario Region
Summary
1996-12-02: Arcing and smoke came from the rear (#3) galley oven of the aircraft. Power was removed from the oven and a halon extinguisher was used which ended the arcing and smoking. Maintenance found that the oven fan motor had seized. The oven was repaired after the aircraft returned to Toronto (LBPIA) after originally departing for Zurich, Switzerland.
