Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)
Summary
1996-08-15: After take-off, the aircraft cabin did not pressurize and the flight crew switched to the alternate mode without success. The cabin crew were advised and the CSD reported a large vibration in the cabin. An emergency was declared and ERS stoodby for the landing. Maintenance found that the electronic equipment compartment door had been left open after maintenance had worked on the #2 VHF radio. The door status switch was inoperative and the flight crew unaware that the door had been left open. 18 S.O.B.; no injuries. From a TSB Initial Notification (#A96O0149).
