Incident at SUDBURY ON (CYSB)
Summary
1996-07-01: The aircraft (operating as ONT290) departed Sudbury Municipal Airport (CYSB) runway 29 and, shortly thereafter, the flight crew reported a hydraulic problem. The aircraft returned and landed without further incident on runway 29. Ops. impact -- unknown. Supplemental information from T.S.B. Initial Notification (#A96O0112): After take-off from runway 29, the DeHavilland Dash 8 experienced a loss of hydraulic pressure. The aircraft returned for landing on runway 29. The flight crew used the alternate landing gear extension and the aircraft landed without further incident. Maintenance replaced the nose landing gear hydraulic supply line and the aircraft returned to service. The aircraft (C-FMDW, operating as ONT290) was on a scheduled IFR flight from Sault Ste. Marie Airport (CYAM) to Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ). Three (3) S.O.B. -- all crew.
