Accident at PETERBOROUGH ON (CYPQ)

Summary

1996-06-27: The aircraft crashed during take-off, southwest of Peterborough Airport (CYPQ). Two (2) S.O.B.s, one (1) fatally injured. Damage -- unknown. Ops. impact -- none. Supplemental information from T.S.B. Initial Notification (#A96O0105): The Cessna 150M aircraft struck the ground shortly after take-off. The pilot was fatally injured and the passenger seriously injured. Weather was good VFR with an eight (8) knot wind from the west at the time of the accident. Inspection of the aircraft engine at the site revealed ferrous material in the oil screen.
