Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)

Summary

1996-05-24: On climb, ATC advised CPX829 to stop the climb at FL250 due to opposite direction traffic descending to FL260. At approximately 90 NM northwest of Toronto, a TCAS RA started as CPX829 approached the oncoming traffic. CPX829 had visual contact with the other aircraft. TCAS voice sounded "reduce cimb" continually. Vertical guidance was followed, the warning ceased and "clear of traffic" was annunciated. No loss of separation occurred. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
