Incident at Fredericton, NB

Summary

1996-05-30: While in cruise at FL330, the number 2 engine (Rolls-Royce RB-535) began to vibrate excessively. When the power was reduced to an acceptable limit, the crew diverted to Toronto for an uneventful landing. The cause of the vibration was traced to a lack of lubrication of the fan blade roots. Ops.
