Incident at MOOSE FACTORY (HOSP) ON (Heli) (CPN3)
Summary
1996-05-09: An individual reported to Timmins FSS that while he was loading groceries from a helipad to a van, C-FPXN flew over him at 30-40 feet. He indicated the turbulence from the helicopter slammed the door of the van against his arm. He reported he couldn't move his arm and was going to the hospital. He felt what the helicopter did was unsafe. The pilot of C-FPXN indicated his flight path was about 100 feet beside the van and felt this was adequate. The pilot also indicated that there was no security on the ground and pedestrians are not always keeping a safe distance from the landing areas. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
