Incident at NORTH BAY ON (CYYB)

Summary

1996-05-02: Please refer to CADORS O960154. One of the two German Air Force aircraft continuing on to Winnipeg blew a tire during the attempted departure from runway 26. The takeoff was aborted and the aircraft returned to the ramp. Significant tire remains were scattered on runway 26 and Juliet taxiway. The field crew was called to remove the debris. The local 911 services were called at 1647Z at the pilot's request and then cancelled at 1651Z (but showed up anyway at 1657Z). ERS were released and the aircraft was removed from the then closed Juliet taxiway at 1715Z. Two (2) S.O.B. -- no injuries. Ops. impact -- none.
