Summary

1996-02-20: The new First Officer was landing the aircraft (B757-28A) at Toronto (LBPIA). The company Chief Pilot was in the left seat. The Chief Pilot's description of the approach was that the First Officer's use of controls, particularly the brakes, was very abrupt. On touchdown, the aircraft was at an excessive nose-high attitude. The Chief Pilot's comment to watch the nose was misinterpreted by the First Officer, who brought the nose higher, resulting in the tail contacting the runway. 237 S.O.B. Damage -- minor.
